The Pirates of Penzance
Brussels Light Opera Company will be performing The Pirates of Penzance at the De Bosuil Cultural Centre, Overijse, on 19th-22nd May 2022, and also at the International Gilbert and Sullivan Festival in Harrogate (UK) on 15th August 2022.
Stage Directors will be Angela and Tony Lowe, with Lionel Bams as Music Director, and Barbara Bauer and Alex Just as Producers.
The Pirates of Penzance is one of the most popular of the Gilbert & Sullivan comic operas, and is full of catchy tunes, uplifting choruses and heart-warming melodies. A tale of tender-hearted pirates, feisty females, bumbling British policemen, true love – and lots of silliness – The Pirates of Penzance is opera at its most comical!
